How are they made?

Fifteen years ago I heard about Prokritee in Bangladesh, a fairtrade organisation that focuses on helping rural women learn new skills that will lift them (and their families) out of poverty. I knew I wanted to contribute so I Am Natural teamed up with a small group in Bagdha where the women have a local source of hemp fibre, one of the world’s most ecologically sound materials. Together, we designed and created a new washcloth exclusively for I Am Natural. The female artisans set their fair price, I accepted it and the Happy Hemp Exfoliator was born!

How to use: 

Use them wet with our organic hand & body wash to create a thick lather for luxurious cleansing, refreshing and invigorating your skin. There are 6 varieties to choose from. 

Alternatively use your Happy Hemp Exfoliator when dry to brush your skin, getting rid of ingrowing hairs caused by waxing!

After use, just rinse through, wring and place over the taps to naturally air dry. The wide weave on the Happy Hemp Exfoliator allows the cloth to dry quickly, unlike other exfoliating mitts that can harbour bacteria and mould. Each Happy Hemp Exfoliator is 25 x 25cm. Due to the handmade nature of this item measurements may vary slightly.

You’ll love these uplifting refreshing body washes that gives a beautiful lather and leaves no greasy residue. Made from organic sunflower and coconut oils, this all-over liquid castile soap can be used in the shower, bath or sit neatly next to your basin for hand washing. It’s wonderfully mild and gentle and contains no harsh chemicals. You will enjoy knowing these body washes are:

Your castile liquid soap is made from natural plant oils so it’s incredibly moisturising for dry skin and completely non-toxic and biodegradable.

I make small batches of this liquid soap by hand, so you may find that the colour and scent vary slightly which is the nature of the product.

How to use: Your castile hand & body wash is concentrated so you may want to dilute it a little, although if you’re using it in the shower then the water will naturally dilute it on your washcloth. Needless to say, a small dollop goes a long way!
