This is a plant wax native to North Mexico widely used in lipbalms to give firmness and consistency, and can be used as a vegan alternative to beeswax.

Candelilla wax comes as easy to use beads. It's melting point is 67-79°C and can be blended with a vegetable oil/butter of your choice in a bain marie. Add essential oils if you wish and pour into your lipbalm container.

Our unrefined shea butter is not certified organic but is grown and processed without chemicals or GM products by a fairtrade co-operative in Ghana.

Unrefined shea butter has a distinct natural smoky aroma (if it doesn't it has been refined) and is an creamy colour.

We suggest using it in creams, balms and butters where you need consistency but also superior moisturising. Shea butter is reknowned for nourishing dry and damaged skin. We use it as a base in nearly all our creams!
